21 September 2011 - WorldPressOnline First Call - This year's keynote press conference will take place at 10.15 on Wednesday 28 September 2011. Entitled 'Does the potential of self –adhesive labels need defending – the opportunities and threats' it will be held in Auditorium 500 at Brussels Expo which is located at the front of hall seven, adjacent to the downstairs press office.
The conference is being opened by Roger Pellow, Managing Director of the Labelexpo Global Series. Giving an outline of this year's record breaking show, Roger will also highlight new show features, as well as unveil details of several new product launches. This will be followed by a brief overview of the industry and the commercial opportunities and threats facing the sector today by Mike Fairley, Director of Strategic Development, Labelexpo Global Series.
FINAT President Kurt Walker (tesa Bandfix, CH) will then elaborate on the role of his association in supporting the future development of the self-adhesive label industry by providing a knowledge and information network, stimulating collaboration on pending topics and joint promotion of common interests.
The line-up also includes keynote speaker Jussi Vanhanen, President, UPM Raflatac. Delivering the company's findings from its specially commissioned survey into the industry and the potential and challenges of the self-adhesive labeling market both in developed markets (Europe, North America) as well as emerging markets (South America, Asia). The presentation will look at opportunities how to continue to grow and develop the self-adhesive business also during volatile economic times.
All speakers will be available at the end of the conference for a Q&A session.
