Charlotte, North Carolina… “Investing in high performance doctor blades can profoundly impact the bottom line of each press run”… was the theme of a presentation made by FLXON’S Marketing Services Manager, Mark Johnson at the HARPER ROAD SHOW held in early October in Worcester, MA.
According to Mr. Johnson… “doctor blade technology has advanced to the point that printers can now achieve a more precise and uniform ink film allowing a job to be run faster without having to stop to clean plates. At the same time, printers running this new class of performance blade report the elimination of a number of print defects including streaks, dot gain and spitting and also see a reduction in anilox wear and damage from score lines.” He went on to say these benefits far exceed the small unit premium one pays for such a blade.
