NORDENIA: Superior for the 13th Time
Jackson, MO/Greven, February 12, 2010. NORDENIA USA — Jackson again received a rating of Superior following a sanitation and quality management audit conducted by the American Institute of Baking (AIB). For its exemplary compliance with the stringent AIB guidelines, the American NORDENIA site, which manufactures high-quality flexible food packing, received the highest mark in the annual Food Contact Packaging Audit for the 13th time. An AIB representative affirmed NORDENIA’s "very significant accomplishment, which is not the norm”. Through its standards and audits, the nonprofit institute AIB ensures compliance with the highest standards in food production around the world.
The audit assesses the core elements of sanitation and quality according to five categories, which manufacturers of films and packaging for the food industry must meet to guarantee the safety of packaged food through premium-quality packaging. AIB increased the requirements again in 2010: food packaging manufacturers must now comply with almost all the same guidelines as food manufacturers.
"I believe this is an outstanding accomplishment for NORDENIA USA,” says Eric Stanek, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager at NORDENIA USA Jackson. "It shows a dedication from our leadership team and a sustained culture by all NORDENIA employees to provide a good safe quality product to the consumer.” NORDENIA USA, located in Jackson, Missouri, manufactures flexible packaging through the use of the latest blown co-extrusion film technology and adhesive lamination processes. Annually, the company receives awards and recognition for its industry leading graphics utilizing rotogravure printing technology.
