May 2010 — H.C. MOOG – With a special Open-House-Event themed “1-TBR compact 740/1040” at its Technology Centre in Miehlen im Taunus/Germany in July 2010, company H.C. Moog will launch their new sheet-fed-gravure-machine model.
This multi-pass compact press requires minimal floor space and is designed to be easily operated. Technical features include conventional Gravure with solid gravure cylinders and digital printing plates; Cover Printing (especially Gold, Silver and Pearlescent Pigments); Continuous Tone Print; Full Coverage Lacquers, Spot Lacquer; Refinement; Full and partial Embossing, micro Embossing and random Grain Patterns with a new Pressurecylinder for more stability; High gloss applications with hot calendering cylinder (temperature regulation up to 150°C); Printing for striking surface of matchboxes; surface structure and haptic effects by UV- or waterbased varnishes; driers with combined Infrared and Hot-air for more efficiency and power saving; Sheet size of up to 29.1 by 40.9 inches (according to 740 mm by 1040 mm).
