Mica's Water Borne Matte Coating Increases Shelf Appeal

July 2010, Shelton, CT (Phone: 203-922-8888, Website: www.mica-corp.com: Whether converters are looking to increase a product’s shelf appeal or simply increase scuff resistance, Mica Corporation’s water borne matte coating for films can take your product packaging to a new level. It’s ideal for converting companies performing primarily printing as it can be applied by most typical printing and coating operations.

The product, T-605-C is a single-pass, 2 part aqueous matte coating that can be used on most plastic film.  It can withstand heat seal temperatures up to 350°F (150°C). When properly applied the coating is scuff resistant, heat resistant (above 121°C) and has a 60° gloss of about 10 units.

Mica Corporation specializes in aqueous products for the flexible converting industry, and is committed to providing exceptional quality and service for their customers.  As a leading manufacturer of waterborne primers, coatings, and adhesives since its inception in 1971, Mica Corporation is focused on two key areas: the development of environmentally friendly products and the customers who use those products.
