March 2010 — Bobst Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michele Vitiello as Head of the Gravure and Coating Laminating Product Line, which is part of the recently created Bobst Group Business Unit Web-fed. Mr Vitiello has also been appointed as Managing Director of Bobst Group Italia S.p.A., based in San Giorgio Monferrato, northern Italy.
Mr. Vitiello joins Bobst Group from the packaging machinery manufacturing industry, bringing extensive experience and a successful track record in senior management positions within the industry.
Mr. Vitiello succeeds Mr. Erik Bothorel who, in October 2009, became member of the Bobst Group Executive Committee and who was also appointed as Head of Business Unit Web-fed, which has been created within the framework of the recently announced Bobst Group Transformation Program. The Business Unit Web-fed comprises the brand names of Bobst Web-fed Solutions, Fischer & Krecke, Kochsiek, Rotomec and Titan which supply web-fed printing and converting equipment to the folding carton and flexible materials industries.
Commenting on the appointment, Erik Bothorel said, “Michele Vitiello is highly respected in the industry for his commitment to providing the highest quality of service and his results-oriented management style will be crucial to the continuous growth of the brands comprised in the Gravure and Coating Laminating Product Line, namely Bobst Web-fed Solutions, Kochsiek and Rotomec”.
With regard to his new responsibilities within Bobst Group, Erik Bothorel said, “I am delighted that I will continue to be strongly involved with the flexible materials market, whilst welcoming the opportunity to expand my role within Bobst Group. Most particularly, I look forward to maintaining the relationships I have developed with clients in the flexible materials converting industry worldwide during my years at Rotomec.”
