Aditya Sole completed his MSc in Digital Colour Imaging from London College of Communication in the 2006 and is an for a position in Quality Control & Assurance in Colour Reproduction in the graphics arts industry.
In 2005, Mr. Sole completed his B.Engg. in Printing Engineering & Graphics Communication from University of Pune (India) with the grade of “first class.” He has undergone vocational training on the Scitex Image setter, Xerox DC12 photocopier and printer, Epson and Fuji flatbed scanners in KJ Colour Scan.
After graduation, Mr. Sole joined TechBooks International Pvt. Ltd., as a Trainee Facilitator in August 2005. TechBooks is an ISO 9001:2000 company involved in Content and Data Management. He was responsible for human resources and time management, getting the job done from the programmers and graphic designers, maintaining quality, and interacting with clients via telephone and e-mail.
During his MSc course www.digitalcolour.org, he worked on module projects that included colour gamut comparison, comparing colour measuring instruments, and calculating the uncertainty of measuring instruments such as the spectrophotometer, tele-spectroradiometer. He developed colour imaging programmes using MatLab computational language, creating and applying ICC profiles, implementation of colour management workflows, and analysis of colour imaging devices like scanners, printers and proofing machines. For his MSc major project, he worked on developing a model for measurement of colour stimulus, printed on translucent packaging materials, with a reflection mode geometry measuring instrument with a backing material, which will help in the exchange of physical colour data between different organizations irrespective of the backing material used.
Mr Sole has also undergone vocational training on Best Colour rip software, profiling HP DesignJet 10ps inkjet proofer for semigloss HP proofing paper. He developed a model for conversion of density value from Status T to Status E and from Status T to Status I and vice versa at Trinity Mirror Group, MGN Limited, London (May 2006 to September 2006).
Mr. Sole presented his work “Measurement of colour on translucent substrates viewed by reflection” at the Gjovik Color Imaging Symposium 2007 in June 2007 in Norway, http://www.colorlab.no/gcis and in the coming months I will be presenting it at the 34th International Research Conference of iarigai Advances in Printing & Media Technology to be held in September 2007 in Grenoble France, http://www.iarigai.org/conferences.html
The same paper is being published in GravureEzine (July through Number 2007 issues) http://www.gravurexchange.com/index.htm, the most widely read gravure-dedicated publication in the world, and by the 34th International Research Conference of iarigai Advances in Printing and Media Technology. |
